About Me

Andy Schroeder serves as owner and president of South Central Steel (SCS), a fabricated structural steel firm in Harpersville, Alabama. Previously the vice president of SCS, Andy Schroeder maintained responsibility for a large portion of the company’s networking and business initiatives and provided oversight on matters related to finance, personnel management, and logistics.

Earlier in his career, Andy Schroeder worked with Green Bay, Wisconsin-based Direct Development, where he led development and construction as vice president. He also gained experience as a development manager for Capstone Development and regional sales manager for Law Engineering, both located in Birmingham.

While fulfilling client needs in these and other positions, Mr. Schroeder has acquired a diverse background of experience across several areas critical to quality construction and real estate development services. He has managed multimillion-dollar budgets, run marketing and design operations, and handled multifamily, residential, and commercial construction projects. He studied engineering at Virginia Tech prior to transferring to Auburn University, from which he earned a bachelor of science in finance.
